Dr. Danielle Abrams grew up in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
She spent most of her early years playing soccer, basketball, and
baseball, and she covered second base for college softball.
Dr. Abrams did not grow up on a farm, but her love of animals
started young when she raised calves in her backyard in a suburban
neighborhood.
Dr. Abrams attended South Dakota State University for her
undergraduate studies and earned a degree in Animal Science,
Agricultural Business, and Equine Management. After
graduation, she spent six years managing a large hobby farm in
southeastern PA. She enjoyed her time working there with a
variety of horses, donkeys, cows, sheep, goats, chickens, and
alpacas. During her last few years at the farm – and
encouraged by an awesome mentor – Dr. Abrams decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
She began shadowing local veterinarians as well as volunteering at
Marshak Dairy at the University of Pennsylvania's New Bolton Center.
She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St.
Kitts and completed her clinical year at The Ohio State University
in January 2019. Following graduation, Dr. Abrams worked at a
mixed animal practice in Lancaster County before joining our clinic
in 2020.
In her free time, Dr. Abrams likes spending time outside,
gardening, working out, hunting, playing softball, and watching
baseball. She also enjoys accompanying her husband while he
farms ... in addition to cheering him on at his tractor pulls!
